HER Network: Chats & Cocktails in South Africa

The 28th of February, 2016 was a memorable day as the first ever Chats and Cocktails event held in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa.

The event which was created to bring women together to share life experiences, chat over cocktails and expand connections was held in the southern sun, sandton and had in attendance women from diverse professional backgrounds ranging from real estate to merchandising, modelling, communications e.t.c.

L-R; Xolile Nzama, Sphiwo Nxele, Rona Matthew, Pearl Nxele, Negisite Yesside Johnson, Nkem Onwudiwe (Creator), Tarmar Awobotu,Karabo Mokoena, Lebo Nchoe, Noxolo Nxumalo, Bontle Mokoena, Buhle Mbele
To say that the positive energy that flowed and was exchanged between the women in the room was awe-inspiring would be an understatement. All sorts of topics were discussed, no one held back and at the end of the evening, it was hugs and good-byes (for now) as strangers became friends.

"Any time women come together with a collective intention, it's a powerful thing. Whether it's sitting down making a quilt, in a kitchen preparing a meal, in a club reading the same book, or around the table playing cards, or planning a birthday party, when women come together with a collective intention, magic happens." - Phylicia Rashad
