HN Feature: Nomndeni Mdakhi



Nomndeni Mdakhi is a passionate business woman who is driven and focused on story telling, building brands and touching people’s lives in a positive manner.

Best known for her work as Fuse Academy co-founder (with DJ Zinhle), working with DJ Oskido as his right hand man (or in this case women),Co-ordinating Entertainment for the World Youth Festival 2010 under DA BASS Entertainment, working on the brand management and collaborations for Kalawa Jazmee Records and project co- ordinating the 2012 Miami Winter Music Conference SA contingent under Madlosi Entertainment..., she has shaped even more minds that have shown great potential in many fields. A business woman and great speaker of note, the Edits Communications founder is passionate about female change and directing success for ladies in the male dominated world.

Instagram (That's how I keep up with a lot of news, Watsapp (for easy connections to my clients and entire network),  Notes (to capture all my ideas on the go) 

Who/What inspires you? 

Geez, that’s a tricky. I have an eco system of people whose different skill sets and abilities inspire me. There are so many.. choosing one would be shooting myself in the foot. 

What the best piece of advice you have been given in your career?

Lead from the heart, do your best and approach everyone with humility and respect.

What brings you the greatest satisfaction personally and professionally? 
Affecting change, inspiring, giving hope. This is my life’s agenda in all encounters, professional and personal. 

What quote do you live by?
Be still and know that I am God (I trust him in all I do, also everyone knows delegation frees you up to do other things. I delegate a lot to God)

What advice would you give your 18 year old self?

Relax, its okay. You will figure it out and failure is part of learning. 

On "Women Supporting Women"...
Its necessary, its how we will learn, grow and affect change in our communities. We all need to believe that it is not a foreign concept and never give up on it.
