10 Commandments for the Modern Day Woman

Katherine Hepburn said if you follow all the rules, you will miss all the fun. She definitely wasn’t referring to the rules in this book.

I came across a book online some time ago and one of the things that stood out to me were the commandments. It’s important to periodically evaluate your life and see how you’re doing, what is working and what needs to be adjusted/changed or dropped. I’ve shared below an excerpt from the book; the “Commandments” are actually more than 10 so please feel free to purchase the The B.O.S.S. Chick Playbook to read more.

B.O.S.S CHICK COMMANDMENTS

I. She shall know that her ideas are capital.

II. She shall not just wait for an opportunity, but she shall create one.

III. She shall network because it can open doors.

IV. She shall pray for God given ideas not good ideas.

V. She shall save more than she spends.

VI. She shall know that her worth is not what is on her back but what is in her head.

VII. She shall be confident, not arrogant, and her confidence is based on whose she is, not what she looks like.

VIII. She shall teach people how to treat her.

IX. She shall not underestimate the value of a mentor or mentoring.

X. She shall understand that her words are seeds; therefore, she is careful what she plants.

In case you were wondering, B.O.S.S stands for Bold, Outgoing, Savvy and successful and being a BOSS Chick according to DR Carolyn Hall, author of the book, is about you taking center stage in your life and the word “commandments” because the book is based upon Godly principles, which are dispensed in practical terms.

Have you read this book? What’s your take on it and if you have your own definition of a “B.O.S.S Chick” please share in the comment section below.
