For Women Who Could Care Less.

The society has set standards and pedestals for women that it can’t even reach. This has nothing to do with feminism but everything to do with double standards.  The prettiest people are the ones who have no fears. No fears of judgement or criticism and live their lives for them.
Have you ever met a woman so brazen and uninhibited? One who immediately draws you into her mental space and sucks you into her soul that you’re left curious, wondering what really goes on in her head? Have you ever met a no-holds-barred woman who goes after what she wants, is successful in all she does and just does not give a shit. A woman can defend it when she says “there is a method to my madness”.
If you have, then you know you will ALWAYS remember her. She is purely savage, she is proud but not a snob. She is not judgmental, she is fun and exciting and extremely sexy.
History has never been made by a demure woman sitting in a corner knitting socks. If Rosa Parks hadn’t spoken up and said NO, we wouldn’t know who Rosa Parks is. Nobody ever remembers people who sit quietly in a gathering, people who are timid and have inhibitions, and people who act perfect but KNOW there is no such thing. Those people are boring and easily forgotten.
Some people say “I don’t give a f**k” and make it a mantra, almost believing it. But oh! They really do. They are conscious of what goes up on their social media pages, they want to put their feet up but are worried that their feet might not look good enough, they are conscious of whom they are seen with and the perception people have of them. But in the bigger picture, who really cares? If you are comfortable with your flaws people will be comfortable with them too.
Living with a neon CAUTION sign hanging over your head is ultimately an uncomfortable way to live because you keep looking back, up and around consciously and cautiously. Don’t you know you are killing your vibe and living like a candle when you can be a bush fire? Don’t you know it will reflect in everything you do, your interaction with people, your creativity and even your sex life?
Poet and writer Janne Robinson wrote a poem in 2014 dedicated to women
This is for the women who don’t give a f***
The women who are first to get naked and howl at the moon and jump into the sea
The women, who drink too much whisky, stay up too late and have sex like they mean it.
The women who know they aren’t sluts because they enjoy sex, but human beings with a healthy sexual appetite.
The women who will ask you for what they need in bed.
This is for the women who seek relentless joy; the ones who know how to laugh with their whole souls.
The women who speak to strangers because they have no fear in their hearts.
The ones who wear “night make up” in the morning or don’t own mascara.
The women who know their worth, who plant their feet and roar in their brilliance.
The women who aren’t afraid to tell a man to get the fuck out of her heart if he doesn’t honour her heart.
This is for the women who rock combat boots with frilly skirts.
The women who swear like truck drivers.
The women who hold the people who harass or wrong them with fierce accountability.
The women who flip gender norms and false limitations the bird and live to run successful companies giving “the man” a run for his name.
The ones who don’t find their success a compliment just because they have a vagina.
Women like Gloria Steinem who, when she was told, “We want a writer, not a woman. Go home,” kept writing anyway.
This is for the women who drink coffee at midnight and wine in the morning, and dare you to question it.
For the women who open doors for men and are confident enough to have doors opened for them.
Who use “no” to be in service for themselves.
Who don’t give a damn about pleasing the world, and do sweetly as they wish.
For the superheroes—the single moms who work three jobs to make it. I salute your resilient, cape-flapping, ambitious selves.
This is for the women who throw down what they love, and don’t waste time following society’s pressures to exist behind a white picket fence.
The women who create wildly, unbalanced, ferociously and in a blur at times.
The women who know how to be busy and know how to plant their feet in the earth and get grounded.
These are the women I want around me.
AMEN!!!
This applies to EVERYONE, Male and female, trying to take back their lives without fear of criticism.
Life is like a lion, you can either lie low under its paw and let it control you because you are scared, cautious or whatever, or you can take control of the damn beast and ride on its back not minding the few injuries here and there because guess what? Your courage inevitably makes you a winner.
