She joined the Malachite Group, home to Afro Nation, Piano People, and Lit, where she achieved notable success, including selling out Printworks and presenting the first-ever Amapiano show at Drumsheds in London. A passionate advocate for Afrobeats, Ms Becks also hosts Weekly Fix with Ms Becks, a self-produced show, and has worked with notable platforms like News Central TV, Wireless Festival, Notting Hill Carnival, and Somerset House. Jade’s work as an A&R consultant at major labels such as 0207 Def Jam, Atlantic Records, and EMI Records has seen her consistently spot groundbreaking African talent, including JayO, Darkoo, BenjiFlow, Adekunle Gold, and Yarden. Jade’s passion for connecting with and nurturing emerging artists was ignited when she started her career as a marketing intern at BMG in 2017. One of her standout achievements was securing the Afro Nation Portugal 2024: Piano People Beatport stream, which she describes as “an evergreen embodiment of the magic that happens on that beach in Portugal every year.” Olivia’s experience spans multiple territories, including Ghana, South Africa, Detroit, and Portugal, where her multicultural background enables her to approach partnerships with authenticity and cultural sensitivity.

Shanae Dennis is an influential live music agent specializing in African Electronic Dance Music (AEDM). After discovering Amapiano during a trip to South Africa in 2018, she pivoted into the music business, managing artists like Uncle Waffles, Felo Le Tee, and Oscar Mbo.

“Bringing international artists to the UK and Europe for the first time is always a challenge,” says Shanae, but the satisfaction of seeing an artist perform before a new audience for the first time makes it all worthwhile. She worked on the Champion Sounds Tour, which saw Amapiano events in large venues for the first time, including the historic first UK show for Uncle Waffles.

Shanae advocates for the preservation of cultural integrity in the industry: “Don’t compromise on culture, culture is our currency and it’s what the rest of the world want to buy into,” she says.
