The Mental Wellness Virtual Summit organized by Dr. Maymunah Kadiri for the purpose of mental awareness, literacy, and advocacy

 This year it focuses on Suicide Prevention. The goal is to educate members of the society on tips to prevent suicide and thrive mentally at home or work and advocate for a mentally healthy society in different ways.

Focus groups like parents, teachers, health workers/paramedical workers, public figures and celebrities will find the sessions enlightening and very practicable.

A total of 31 phenomenal industry leaders, public figures, mental health practitioners and educators will be sharing their expert opinions on different topics to help participants and their loved ones survive mental challenges, live and thrive mindfully and advocate adequately for a mentally healthy society.

Speakers include Tonye Cole, Betty Irabor, Dr. Lola Adeyemi, Lanre Olusola, Adenike Oyetunde, Osayi Alile, Praise Fowowe, Kemi Ajumobi, Feb Idahosa, Shade Ladipo to mention a few.

At the end of the summit, participants will learn how to: Handle Emotional Pain/Trauma, Become Better at your job/business using your mental powers, Understand Suicide & Social Media, Know how to love someone who is depressed, Raise mentally strong teenagers and curb bullying in schools, Survive the pitfalls of fame and Fortune, Build resilience & survive domestic abuse, etc

The convener Dr. Maymunah Kadiri has this to say, “Going to see a therapist should be just as easy as going to see a dentist. Our perception of seeking mental wellness should move from remedial to preventive. When we normalize seeking help for mental issues, we help those suffering to seek help rather than turn to suicide”.
