“You don’t want to hate yourself over a few tiny flaws when there are a million different things to love about yourself.” – The Odditty

She’s one of our favorite personalities to come across in the sociosphere – The Odditty. Came across a post of hers which was too good not to share with you. Read and be inspired, Queen.

“My legs are my biggest insecurity. There I said it! It’s felt for so long like the rest of the world was looking down on me, for having chicken pox when I was little that left so much scarring. This insecurity has been the loudest in my own mind. The worst possible thing anyone could say about my legs has already been said by the voice in the back of my head. I know right … I’ve said worse things about myself than you’d ever know but what I’ve also learned is this…

You don’t want to play the role of your own worst enemy. You don’t want to hate yourself over a few tiny flaws when there are a million different things to love about yourself…

No, you’re not perfect — we are not meant to be perfect. Everyone, even the person you consider the most beautiful woman in the world, has things they’re insecure about. You’re perfectly normal for feeling self-conscious. Bruh I’m perfectly normal for being self-conscious and you’re allowed to be uncomfortable with certain aspects of yourself. But you shouldn’t let that discomfort turn into self-hatred. You shouldn’t punish yourself for being yourself.

You’re more beautiful than you believe, on the inside and the outside. It might take you a while to see that, but you’re going to get there as long as you put in the effort and that’s what I’ve been doing… taking on my insecurities every day and learning to love every facet of them.

So now it’s your turn… Queen, share five things about you, you absolutely love!
