Describe Yourself in 3 Words God Fearing, Focused and Always a Student
Tell us a little bit about your journey into the world of Beauty Aesthetics.I have had a long time interest in medical care and beauty. Prior to my undergraduate, I did a year in nursing school, before going back to university to study Biotechnology. After school, I took a detour into the corporate world, where I had the opportunity of working at senior levels with companies such as Heritage Bank, and as Head of Business Development for Fifth Chukker, I also worked in partnership with the top brass at Access Bank, MTN, Emirates, Nigerian Breweries etc. My passion for medical aesthetics and beauty deepened at some point, I decided to travel to the States to undergo a specialist training. Upon conclusion of my training, I joined one of the leading Aesthetic Clinics in Dallas Texas as a Junior Consultant. I finished and left there as a Senior Consultant before moving back to Nigeria in 2016.

What has been the greatest difficulty you have encountered in starting and maintaining the Hello Perfect Aesthetics and Laser clinic in Lagos, Nigeria? The Aesthetics industry is not cheap. Access to funds is not so easy for SME’s in Nigeria. Additionally virtually all the products we source come from outside the country. In addition to this the world class equipment we use is freighted in from Europe and the US and you know customs does not take it easy on imports even for small businesses like ours
Do you have a favorite treatment you like to perform?I have series of favorite treatments. For me the most exciting thing is seeing my clients excited about the results of their treatment.
What would you like to see be developed in the realm of skin care next? There are extensive treatments available. At this point what I hope is for Nigerian’s to be able to trust their skin into the hands of Professional Medical Skin Care Practitioners. The extensive damage that we encounter every day from random use of pungent and toxic products hiding under the umbrella of ORGANIC SKINCARE is appalling.

When you’re not making your patients skin perfect, what are you doing?I travel a lot and interestingly my Fiancé is just as good and bad as I am in wanting to explore the world. At every slight opportunity I am away.
What beauty and skin care products do you recommend should be a staple for both men and women? SPF and Moisturizer
Could you share with us your personal skin care routine? My skincare routine could write a book on skin care. However, I could tell you what a skincare routine should consist of. Cleanse, Double Cleanse, Tone, Exfoliate, Apply your Serum and Moisturize.
What’s your favourite quote on beauty?“Your SPF is your BFF”
What’s the newest product or procedure you consider to be a game changer and a must try?For product its Vitamin C Ampules and Dermaplaning facial treatment for a procedure.
What are some of the most common concerns your patients come to you with about their skin and What do you recommend for them? Acne and hyper-pigmentation. There are different approaches to this treatment depending on the condition of the client’s skin.
If you could give younger Onyeka one advice, what would it be? I have grown to have no regrets and I am grateful for every day. My focus is looking forward and would rather advice my still young self that the future is always brighter.
What would you like to be remembered for? I would like to be remembered as someone who has made a strong impact in the Aesthetics industry in Nigeria and has built a brand that sticks in the mind of people as a result driven brand.
